Why did I, Zac, write this book?
Share Truth
Life isn't always seen in the right way. Sometimes my views of life, hurt, pain and trauma have been skewed. Hopefully this book will share truth in a gentle and helpful way.
Give Hope
I have had some deep and dark times in life when I was a child and when I was a missionary. Someone was there to share hope with me. Hopefully my words will share hope to you.
Remind
In many stages of life I need to be reminded of how faithful God has been to me. This book will be a reminder for me and hopefully you as we seek to find purpose in this journey called life.
Connect
People who are on the same journey as me have been hard to find. Not necessarily the follower of Jesus' journey but instead those who are willing to share all their mess so that people will see Jesus.
Learn
I wanted share with you how the Bible actually speaks to things like hurt, pain and trauma. I wanted to learn more and share with you that no pain is wasted and God is still in control even when there is major chaos.

Theology
Sharing right theology when discussing topics like hurt, pain, trauma, and the sovereignty of God is crucial for several reasons. Theology, at its core, is the study of God and His attributes as revealed in the Bible. It shapes our understanding of who God is, how He interacts with the world, and how we, as His creation, relate to Him. When dealing with sensitive issues such as hurt, pain, and trauma, a correct theological framework provides a solid foundation for healing, hope, and understanding.
Doxology
Doxology, derived from the Greek words "doxa" (glory) and "logia" (saying), refers to expressions of praise to God. Often found in the form of short hymns or benedictions within Christian liturgy and worship, doxologies serve as moments where congregations collectively exalt God’s attributes and works. The importance of doxology extends beyond these moments of praise, intertwining with the very essence of living out what the Bible teaches.

While I haven’t known Zac for years, I instantly felt like we had been friends for the longest! That is because of the imprint of Jesus on him, and the power of the Holy Spirit in him! In hearing his story, and the healing journey he surrendered to, I was so in awe of how GOD can truly heal so deeply and so thoroughly, the heart, mind and soul of a man, or woman, when they fully surrender to Him for help! He is a gift and a powerful testimony to those who are, or have been hurt by hurting people!
Dr. Michelle D. Dickens, Pastoral Counselor and Founder of Faith Made Genuine Ministries
I’ve known Zac for 10 years. In that time he has started multiple churches in which many have come to faith in Jesus Christ. God has used Zac to reach college students, homeless shelter residents, and upper middle class senior adults. Zac finds favor with people from multiple generations and backgrounds, and he does this because God is with him. This book is the testimony of a man in whom God is at work, and often at work in the midst of his own pain and brokenness. You will be encouraged as you read this book and learn that God can heal you too, and he can use you to bring hope and healing to others.
